Endeavour Engineering Technologies, an independent Scottish engineering consultancy came to Big Front Door for a brand and web design in February of this month. Working closely with our client we created a unique brand for the company based on their strong Scottish roots and demonstrating strength and innovation.

The striking purple design flows through their new content driven website which contains streaming video product demonstrations, and some flash image galleries as well as an innovative and eye catching drop down menu system.

An online revamp for Scottish genealogy service Alba Ancestry was the brief for Big Front Door, and within an aggressive timetable too as Edinburgh based Keith McKenzie looks to complement an overseas marketing strategy with a strong yet traditional and simple to use website.

The result went live this morning with the all new site running within 72 hours of initial contact, proof of what can be acheived with a cler brief and a combined willingness to get the job done.

Glasgow based roofing and general building contractor Archibald McCorquodale and Son are the latest Big Front Door client to hit the web with their new brochure based website going live last night. This family owned business was formed way back in 1911 and has a reputation for delivering excellent workmanship at competitive prices.

The new site, which will be used to advertise the business both online and in print, upholds these traditional values with a clean and simple look and feel, mixed with dynamic image galleries to present an impressive portfolio of work in many different fields.

We are excited to announce our new status as an official partner of Interspire Software !

Interspire develop world class web based software applications, and as a user of their software ourselves we are really pleased to be in a position to bring these fantastic apps to our clients.

Our initial focus with Interspire will be on improving our eCommerce offering using the amazing Shopping Cart platform.

Following on from the successful rebranding of their main content driven website, Big Front Door has now completed the migration of the Pie and Bovril football forum to it's new platform, including a full rebrand and reskin of the community to match the look and feel of the revised homepage.

The upgrade of the Invision Forum software itself (from v2.3 to v3.05) was not overly complex, but with 13,000 active members and a huge database of around 2.7 million posts the whole process had to be tested, refined, and scheduled to cause the least amount of impact to the business.

In the end the downtime window was only around 2 hours and with the application of a dozen new "skins" the forum now offers a wealth of additional functionality and tools for it's many members.
