The vast majority of our customers were impacted yesterday by a service outage on our web hosting and email infrastructure.

The incident started at 13:54 UK time, and went on for almost 2 hours in the afternoon, resolving at around 15:52. We then unfortunately had a recurrence of the issue that affected 75% of our dedicated servers between 18:54 and around 20:10.

We pride ourselves on having a reliable, rock solid hosting platform and indeed this is the first such outage we have had since the business launched in 2009. We host 125 websites currently, spread across multiple well managed load balanced servers, however in this case we were powerless to prevent disruption as our data centre hosts, one of the largest in the world, suffered a major incident that simultaneously knocked out tens of thousands of webservers worldwide.
