Following on from the successful rebranding of their main content driven website, Big Front Door has now completed the migration of the Pie and Bovril football forum to it's new platform, including a full rebrand and reskin of the community to match the look and feel of the revised homepage.
The upgrade of the Invision Forum software itself (from v2.3 to v3.05) was not overly complex, but with 13,000 active members and a huge database of around 2.7 million posts the whole process had to be tested, refined, and scheduled to cause the least amount of impact to the business.
In the end the downtime window was only around 2 hours and with the application of a dozen new "skins" the forum now offers a wealth of additional functionality and tools for it's many members.
